Target 400 Program

Conveying Knowledge to Safeguard Harvest Yields

It is easier for economically successful farmers not to employ children.
It is easier for economically successful farmers to do without cheap labor such as children. That’s why it is a general goal of many of the programs run by Bayer BioScience Pvt. Ltd. to lastingly improve the earnings situation of its seed producers.

The “Target 400” program initiated in 2006 also contributes to this goal. The name is based on the ambitious target of increasing the seasonal yield to 400 packages of cotton seed per hectare. By way of comparison, the typical yield before the program was launched was between 260 and 300 packages.
